Top 10 Albums of 2011… so far
We’re a little late with this, but it’s been a hectic couple weeks to start the second half of 20-11. New Jawn has been giving you updates on the best music to check out since pretty much the start of this new year and we thought it only right to single out the best releases we’ve heard this year, so far. I’m sure a few of these will make a year end list also, but you never know. These next two quarters have some big names promising new releases including the Jay-Z & Kanye West Watch The Throne, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, and Rozay’s God Forgives, I Don’t.
Since we like to bring you the best in hip hop and rock, we decided to make it fair and break down the Top 5 Albums in each. There are a few missing from this list that prior to hearing in full, we would have anticipated making the cut (sorry Strokes and MMG). We love a hater, so chime in at anytime if you disagree with these picks and if you haven’t given any of these a full listen, wake the fuck up.

Happy to see Manchester Orchestra and Bon Iver made the list. Another album that I think is really good is the new Cults album. You can get it online for only $6 in July. http://www.amazon.com/Cults/dp/B0052BDVTY/ref=tmm_msc_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1310396379&sr=1-1

Cults is pretty great. Need to give it more listens. Looking forward to seeing them live at Popped Festival in Sept.
