Titus Andronicus – Arms Against Atrophy (MP3, Video)

Named after what has been called Shakespeare’s most violent and graphic work, Titus Andronicus are a New Jersey rock band that will be at the upcoming POPPED! Music Festival. Titus are on the Saturday bill and listed pretty high on the list, so I assume they’ll have a decent length set. That’s good news, because most of their songs are pretty long and it would be a shame for them to get cut short before playing a bunch of tracks off their debut album, The Airing Of Grievances. Their sophomore effort The Monitor was solid also, but I’m a fan of the first disc. If you haven’t caught their live show, be prepared for a good time. Tons of energy on stage and the crowd typically goes off during their shows. Hopefully their usual small club performance translates well to the open space at FDR. “Arms Against Atrophy” is one of my favorite tunes by Titus Andronicus. Check it out.
