Alex Greenwald – Return Of The King (MP3)
This is the first track that Alex Greenwald had given away via his Twitter page, but he took down once he released “Balisong”. “Return Of The King” was listed as a possible track to be included on Phantom Planet’s final album, Raise The Dead. Glad to finally get to hear it since the title always intrigued me. A different sound than “Balisong”. I wonder what direction he’ll go with his solo debut: indie rock or a little Ronson-pop-funk inspiration. Either way, loving what I’ve heard so far. Also, check out the video of Greenwald performing a cover of Robyn Hitchcock’s “Egyptian Cream” down by the water. A beaut.
