The National will release Trouble Will Find Me next Tuesday and everything that they’ve managed to allow fans to hear is proving to be another great collection from the band. “Sea Of Love” was debuted on Fallon a little ways back and now we have the official video with a rocking little baby boy doing his best air guitar. I’m loving this track.

Dev Hynes performs solo piano show at Les Poisson Rouge (Video)

Portraits of Dev Hynes

Just after the last post about Francis Starlight, it seems only right that I share someone else from Les Poisson Rouge. NYC was graced with a solo piano performance from Dev Hynes last Saturday, which luckily for us has had a couple tunes find their way onto the YouTube. Check out Blood Orange cover a track from his close friend Solange and a short pairing with Florence Welch doing that radio track from the Jersey Shore girls’ show. Lucky bastards that knew about this one and got to enjoy the greatness.

Francis And The Lights – Fell On Your Head (Cloud)

And The Lights

The level of anticipation for anything new from Francis Starlight is starting to become frustrating. Francis And The Lights provided the score for the indie flick Robot & Frank and included a tune for the closing credits that will be featured on their hopefully soon to be announced album. Last I heard from Francis, he was overseas working on new music, but the wait continues. Come back to Philly soon and blow more minds. Anyone know where to find a download of this track? Let me know.

QOTSA – I Appear Missing (Video)

I’ll assume the creators of Metalocalypse helped with making the new animated video for Queens Of The Stone Age. “I Appear Missing” has the same brutal imagery as the Adult Swim show. Great to hear another track from …Like Clockwork. Can’t wait for that one to leak.

Editors – A Ton Of Love (Video)

I’ve been waiting a while for new music from Editors. It feels like forever since In This Light And On This Evening came out. “A Ton Of Love” makes it sound like the band are moving away from the electronic sound that was on their third album to go for a more rock & roll vibe. The Weight Of Your Love comes out on July 1st.

Vampire Weekend – Ya Hey (Video)

Vampire Weekend posted a pretty great new song today off their upcoming Modern Vampires Of The City album, due out on May 14th. The lyric video keeps your attention throughout. VW have always been able to create a good buzz prior to releasing their albums with a catchy single and “Ya Hey” is no exception. I’m digging this.

Jay-Z – 100$ Bill (Cloud, MP3)

Jay-Z & Leonardo DiCaprio

Jay-Z is one of many big names to have new music on the official soundtrack for the upcoming The Great Gatsby movie. The flick starring Leo DiCaprio is the latest from Baz Luhrmann and looks just as flamboyant as his other work. Check out “100$ Bill” which sounds like it could be an old Jay track that didn’t make the album. Still better than his recent mainwork. Glad to see that awesome Jack White cover of “Love Is Blindness” found a home on this soundtrack too.
