Rob Zombie directing Broad Street Bullies flick – NJNews

So I might be a little late to this party, but Rob Zombie announced his plans to wirte, direct, and produce a motion picture about the 1970’s Philadelphia Flyers team better known as the Broad Street Bullies. After the popularity of the HBO documentary about the overly violent squad, it’s apparently time to take things to the next level. Zombie stated that the film will focus on the 1974 season where the Flyers won their first of back-to-back Stanley Cup victories. No word on when the Broad Street Bullies movie will be in theaters, but it is Zombie’s next project. After all horror movies, this will be an odd change of pace for the metalhead turned film director. If it’s one-tenth as gnarly as The Devil’s Rejects, this is going to be a local favorite.
