After coming off a tough win against rival Michigan last week the Buckeyes have their sights set on the first Big Ten championship game ever in Indianapolis We like the Buckeyes to capitalize on a golden opportunity to win a Big Ten title and a likely BCS Championship birth in the process.
Ranked 16th in the nation in the latest AP poll, the Northern Illinois Huskies try to keep their perfect record intact on Friday as they clash with the Bowling Green Falcons in the Mid-American Conference Championship game at Ford Field. As far as the all-time series is concerned, BGSU holds a 10-7 edge over the Huskies, although the Falcons have dropped three in a row to NIU. The Huskies have won six straight games by double figures, the most recent of those triumphs coming on Nov. 26 in a 33-14 final versus Western Michigan at home. Look for QB Heisman candidate J.Lynch to lead the Huskies to another MAC title in this one.
Former Western Athletic Conference foes are set in the first-ever Mountain West Conference Championship game, as the 24th-ranked Fresno State Bulldogs take on Utah State. Playing at home will certainly give the Bulldogs a lift, but don’t expect to see Carr hurling one TD pass after another against a stubborn USU defense. However, the Aggies are in a tough position either way you look at it. Look for Fresno St to bounce back after last weeks heart breaking loss.
